So, here's a quickie review of our set at Southgate House:
First of all, the highlight of the night was Mr. Spoons who was kind enough to buy all of the food for the event as well as an Open Mic Birthday cake. It read, "Open Mic Release party," and directly underneath that it said, "Mr. Spoons." I asked him how he got the honor of getting his name on the cake and he said, "The baker put it there. I paid for it." Classic, Spoons!
We were called up around midnight, when the B&N closing crew arrived. Sound check? We don't need no stinking sound check! We plugged in and plugged away! We were alowed four tunes-- Debutaunts, Jean Skirt, Bark Is Brass, and Winter Wonderland.
We played okay-- but a taste of what you will get at Plush, when we can, you know... sound check.
There were great performances by everyone else as well (all twenty five), and we're sorry we couldn't stay for the last few. Aaron is a big baby when he gets tired!
Thanks to everyone who came out!
