Thanks to the cool as hell DJs at Lakota High School for playing us and getting "Let Me Be Your Liquor Man" banned from the Lakota air-waves. That's about the most punk rock thing that's ever happened to us. Check out the article in last week's Citybeat about the hippest radio station in town right here or go right to the source by clicking here.
I've got some goodies in the mail for you, Lakota kids.
Also in last week's Citybeat (yeah, I'm runnin' a little behind on this) was the best of Cincinnati listings. The Vibrating Needle Recording Collective was named, "Best DIY Music Cult." Check this out:
"Recording studios all over the country are going out of business due to the
rise of affordable home-recording gear, and that suits the Vibrating Needle
Recording Collective just fine. The collaborative of like-minded local
musicians (including the bands Folk?, For Algernon, The Minni-Thins and The
Minor Leagues), all of whom are home-recording enthusiasts, joined together
last year to create the collective as a support system that enables them to
cross-promote and share ideas and feedback. Strength in numbers in action."
Thanks, Citybeat!
The Minni-Thins were named artist of the month over at Mike and TJ's. Follow the link, check out what they've got going on, and vote for us!
Tour dates are beginning to accumulate. The album will be finished April 15th, and advance copies will begin going out to friends and press tomorrow.
Stay tuned...
