The Minni-Thins burst onto the Independent Music Scene in 2005 with their debut album, “In Black Cause I Asked,” which, thanks in no small part to the strength of the single, “Let Me Be Your Liquor Man,” inspired rave reviews online, in print, and internationally. After recording their sophomore effort, “That Old Kentucky Blackgrass” in the winter of 2007, the Minnis split up, leaving “Blackgrass” unreleased. Now, four years after the band played their final show, the Minnis are returning from the dead just in time for Halloween to release the single, “Chorus of the Zombie Apocalypso,” as well as two new EPs, titled: “The Nonbeing EP” and “The Devil Can’t Dance EP.” The twelve songs that comprise the releases are all culled from the Blackgrass sessions, recorded and produced by (Austin based band) The Quiet Company’s own Matt Parmenter.
All three releases are available for free online at archive.org.

Happy Halloween!
Congrats to our favorite electro-pop/media darling T-Shields and our labelmates, Spectacular Fantastic for being among the chosen few.
We were mentioned in this Sunday's "Challenger". Nice.
OK. A lot of poeple have been asking about the cover for our Midpoint showcase. Here are your options.
A 3-Day All-Venue Badge is $20.00
A 1-Day All-Venue Wristband is $10.00
A $5.00 Cover can be paid at all the MPMF venues. It is only good for that venue. So if you plan on going to two or more venues, the 1-Day All-Venue Wristband is the way to go.
This is the mailing sent out by Mr. Wells earlier today:
"hello everyone,
with the help of a friend of mine (thanks damon) we figured out how to have mp3's on my page and so i uploaded two tracks for you to preview.
1. haven't you learned a new mix of the song that was on garageband.com
2. johnny's new religion a duet with misty perholtz. this is a demo version, the final mix will not have the robot and synth voices and is a little better mix. i just thought it would be cool to hear how a song can differ with just a few changes here and there or what i like to call over production.
i hope you enjoy them, keep checking foralgernon.com in the songs section to hear more. i will have a few more up, maybe even today. let me know what you think if you want to, good or bad.
take care
jason"
The songs sound great, Wells!
